Pope Benedict's Anti-Semitic Prayer?

A surprising Good Friday prayer by Pope Benedict XVI has some Jewish groups a little concerned.
The Vatican acknowledges that the Pope revived an old Latin prayer the was notoriously used as an excuse for discrimination and hate against Jews. Recited during the most solemn week in the Christian year, Pope Benedict made attempts at revising this old Latin prayer, but many Jewish leaders assert he did not go far enough.

The Vatican further presses, as stated in the Vatican II documents, that it’s position one of love and support for the Jewish people, and expects nothing less than cooperation and friendship between the Catholics and Jews.

To show his love and collaboration with the Jewish people, Pope Benedict is visiting a New York Jewish synagogue while in the United States in the middle of April, recording only the third visit ever by a Vatican pope to a Jewish house of worship (two visits made by Pope Benedict, one visit made by Pope John Paul II).
